We've added an extra NLP Practitioner course to the schedule in March, to allow people to access up to 50% funding. There is funding available for SME leaders, but you're really going to have to hurry, last date for applications is 29th February and your course must be completed by the end of March. NLP Liverpool Practice Group -
From strength to strength.
Had a great evening last Wednesday at the Practice group, we were so full that unfortunately I couldn't get to speak properly to most people. We were "dealing with difficult people" and had a really interesting set of techniques to teach. We looked at the anticipation of the confrontation, the person themselves and the interactions you have with them and how to get yourself into a resourceful state. And most importantly of all, to review and let go! Commonly known as the SUMO model - which stands for Shut Up - Move On!

Full 2012 calendar now available
Here at NLP Liverpool, preparations for the festive season are well underway. For us, this doesn't mean thinking about Christmas, but about our Autumn 2012 course schedule! We always have courses planned in the diary at least 6 months in advance and share the dates with you as soon as possible so you can plan your course well in advance. So, as you'll see from the headline above, we have the full schedule well into November for NEXT year.

Friday 11th November
Thank you to all of you who joined us on Tuesday for the practice group. We really enjoyed it and hope you all took a lot of ideas home. We were looking at the use of stories and metaphors in business, coaching, mentoring and therapy. We had some very inventive tales from lots of people. Most of us surprised ourselves with what we could do, and how we could make an everyday object part of a story with a message. We're taking bookings already for the next NLP Liverpool Practice Group on Wednesday 18th January, (we'll do payments nearer the time) and are open to suggestions for the subject, so email today for a place and to suggest a topic.
Tuesday 4th October
Thank you to all those who packed out the Council chamber at Liverpool Chamber of Commerce last Friday for our 60 Really Useful Minutes presentation, on the art and science of positive business communication. We hope you found it really useful! If you left us your details, you will be receiving an email with the links we promised you. We had a great evening yesterday at the Practice group, thank you to all who came from far and wide to join us for an evening of NLP. There was a session on timelines and then we moved on to circle of excellence - it was great to watch evryone pairup and work together so well. Everyone enjoyed it, it was a struggle to vacate the venue in time there was so much chatting at the end. 50% training fee refund for senior managers at qualifying SMEs
Hurry! When it’s gone, it’s gone!
At last, we are delighted to announce we have been accepted as approved providers for a new funding stream. Managers and leaders from qualifying businesses (from 2-250 employees) can claim a 50% refund after completion of one of our public courses, a bespoke course or a series of coaching sessions. Contact us as soon as possible, and we will discuss your needs before making the referral. Remember, like SkillWorks funding, the money runs out quickly and the paperwork needs to be completed well before your course as the broker may take some weeks to process your application. So, if you are thinking of joining us for the October practitioner course (dates below), then you need to act fast. Just think, for a couple of phone calls and bit of paperwork, you could achieve your NLP Practitioner certification for half price, that’s less than £900, or become a Master Practitioner for around £1400. We've been working very hard here at NLP Liverpool, planning our public courses for the next 9 months. See the Practitioner and Master Practitioner pages for course dates through to June next year. The next Practice group is booked for 12th September, we've even planned the dates to next June 2012.

Update 18th July
A great time was had by all at last Thursday's NLP Practice group. We were working on anchors, and with the aid of kazoos and whoopee cushions, we elicited some fantastic states to anchor! There was a lot of laughing, before the serious business of working on collapsing anchors, which people really enjoyed. The next event will be on 12th September, with the venue yet to be confirmed. We'll be working on time lines and will teach the "circle of excellence" technique. For more details and to make your booking click here.

Ups and downs and perspective
I had a catastrophic PC hard drive failure recently. It is a bit unnerving when you have to fully test your backup procedures, and thankfully everything has now been restored; it has just taken many days! It felt like a disaster, until the terrible crisis in Japan unfolded, and then it seemed so trivial in comparison. We have all been presented with a stark reminder that we should all pause sometimes and reassess any situation to gain a realistic perspective.
Someone once emailed me a list of “The 45 rules of life” purportedly written by an old and very wise lady, rule 40 said – “If we all threw our problems into a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.”

In this two hour presentation and workshop, we’ll take a light-hearted look at how you can begin to bring some of the simple and effective techniques derived from Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to your communications. NLP Liverpool Practice group on 28th February
A great night was had by all at our NLP Liverpool Practice group on 28th February, we had a room full of peple, with all levels of expertise, from complete beginner to Master Practitioner. We worked on swish patterns, with everyone having an opportunity to practice. The feedback was so positive, with plenty of suggestions for next time, that we've provisionally put a date in the dairy for Tuesday 5th April for the next meeting. We've come a long way from the group which George used to run for a growing group of friends when he started out in NLP many years ago. We've also long outgrown our original venue, "the kitchen table". The next NLP Liverpool Practice group will take place on Monday 28th February, 6 - 9 pm at The Racquet Club. 4th January 2011 - VAT Increases to 20%
Like most UK businesses, we've spent part of our Christmas and New Year reviewing our prices and adjusting all of our pricing to comply with the new rate of VAT. As you'll imagine this means many hours scouring and updating every page of the website. Over the last 3 years we have resisted increasing the cost of our courses, and have absorbed extra venue and certification costs ourselves. We believe we have always offered the best value, expert Society of NLP certified training in the North West.
Remember, when comparing our training to other providers in the North West, look at course length, certification body and the cost of training per day. Remember, you want the best NLP training for your money. When Richard Bandler runs his own NLP practitioner courses, he takes 7 days, and accepts no questions or interruptions! Our courses are 8 days long, to allow for the full course content and your questions and the odd digression into interesting and useful examples. You also get plenty of time to practise and become confident with the techniques. You can only really learn NLP by doing it. An 8 day course also gives you the opportunity to split the course into two 4-day blocks if that is more convenient for you. Some people learn best with a period of time between learning the basics and consolidating their skills. We offer you the choice at no extra cost.
